Vaniyambadi is a town in Tirupattur district, state of Tamil Nadu is located in the bank of palar river. The Chennai Bangalore national highways N.H 46 passes through the town.

The Yelgiri hills a summer hill station, A trekking point and paragliding sport centre with punganoor lake park, Nilavoor lake beautiful swamimalai hills, Velavan temple Government herbal farm is very close proximity to vaniyambadi town.

Further Bheema falls and lake near Jamunamarathur, Vainu Bappu Telescopic observatory which is the largest in Asia at Kavaloor near Alangayam are located in Javadhi hills means Sandalwood forests are also very near to Vaniyambadi. We can certainly take delight in visiting these places on holidays.

Economically Vaniyambadi and nearby town Ambur plays important role in the country. This is known as hub of leather industry in south India. Leather and Shoes manufacturing industries are flourishing. These products are exported to foreign countries and thus earning foreign exchange which is very much needful for economic development.

Vaniyambadi Government Industrial Training Institute is newly started. Administrative building, workshop and Hostel Building have been constructed newly in Valayambattu village panchayat, of Alanagayam union. The building is surrounded with natural airy atmospheric condition.
